Video transfer and conversion process

We've been converting all formats of video and camcorder tapes for many years now. During that time, we've honed our procedure to the point now that we believe it is the best you will find anywhere.

This is no ordinary video transfer. Our Premium transfer process includes the following steps:

1. Digitising your video through our professional transcoding & digitising equipment
2. Removal of white noise and artifacts from the start and end of your footage
3. Removal of blank or black sections
4. Cropping of jitter from perimeter of footage where necessary
5. Adding chapters and titles to final DVD
6. Removal of static
7. Dolby Digital sound
8. Industry leading two pass variable bit rate encoding
9. Transferring your footage onto high quality Verbatim DVDs (with option to upgrade to Taiyo Yuden or 24kt gold plated archive grade DVDs)
10. Full colour thermal printed DVDs with title and description
11. Professionally packaged into DVD case with custom printed slick printed in full colour with title and description
12. Personalised attention from experienced technician throughout from start to finish

We do not:

1. Use domestic DVD recorders (this will produce a low quality encoding and not allow editing of your footage). All our equipment is professional grade.
2. Allow a machine to automatically complete the process. An experienced operator will complete your transfer from start to finish. This time consuming process (it takes us approx. 3 hours to transfer 90 minutes of footage to DVD) is the only way to give your memories the treatment they deserve.

We cater for formats including: VHS, SVHS, VHSC, SVHC, Beta, Betamax, Video8, Hi8, Digital8 and Umatic 3/4inch, MiniDV, Digital 8, DVCam. If your format is not listed, please give us a call to discuss.

We can fit 90 minutes of video onto a DVD at best quality.For tapes of a longer duration than 90 minutes, we can either increase the compression to fit more video on the tape (which will result in poorer quality), split the footage onto 2 DVDs, or put the disc onto a dual layer DVD.
