CD Duplication & Replication

CD Duplication

This process is suitable for more urgent requirements and is the most cost effective option when the volume is less than 500. Orders of 2,000 discs or less are generally completed within 3 days.

We research and carefully choose only the best quality and most reliable blank media for all in-house production work. The content of each duplicated disc is verified for errors, even on large runs of discs. This guarantees that every duplicate is a 100% carbon copy of your master, free from glitches and playable on any type of CD or DVD player for years to come.

Duplication services are available on the following CD formats:

  • CD-R (700Mb) – Approx 80 mins
  • Business Card CD – Rounded (52MB)
  • Business Card CD – Rectangular (40MB)
  • Miniature 80mm CD (180MB)

CD Replication

CD Replication is also known as CD manufacture or CD pressing and involves the creation of a glass master and stamper from which replica CDs are pressed or moulded. CD replication is available for 500 or more CDs and is the same process used by major label artists.

Duplication

CD Duplication is ideal when producing volumes of 500 or less discs. Timing is the key deciding factor when choosing whether to duplicate or manufacture (replicate or press) your discs. If you are working to tight deadlines then CD duplication is often the best option. We offer spectacular full colour print direct to the disc face using either thermal or inkjet print with an optional UV cured coating.

Replication / Manufacture

CD replication (or manufacture as it is also known) is more suited to jobs with more relaxed timeframes or when working with volumes in excess of 500 units. The most distinct advantage that CD manufacturing has over duplication is that the cost per unit is invariably lower. Replicated CDs are available with full colour offset print or screen print with spot (pantone) colours.
